Ketim Technologies is tackling one of the most overlooked challenges in women’s health: postpartum depression. Today, diagnosis relies on questionnaires...leaving many women undiagnosed and untreated. We’re developing the world’s first blood screening test to identify biomarkers linked to postpartum depression. Our goal is simple but powerful: help doctors detect issues earlier, support women sooner, and open the door to new treatment pathways through cutting-edge science.

💡 Back Story

Clarissa’s journey began with lived experience. After giving birth, she faced postpartum depression firsthand and was struck by the lack of objective tools for detection. As a scientist with a background in molecular biology and neuroscience, she saw the gap clearly: mental health needed better diagnostics.

Her vision was to fuse science and compassion, using blood-based biomarkers to provide early warning signs of maternal mental health challenges. That personal mission sparked Ketim Technologies, a startup dedicated to bringing precision medicine into postpartum care.

🌱 Before and After TRW

Before joining TRW, Clarissa had the science and the passion, but she didn’t know how to turn an idea into a business. She was confident in the research but less certain about pitching, fundraising, or building a startup around it.

During her TRW journey, she validated her concept with potential users, gained clarity on her business model, and built confidence in communicating her vision beyond the lab. By the end, she had a clear plan, her first pitch deck, and traction with partners and customers. TRW gave her the structure and support to transform a personal mission into a company with the potential to change maternal mental health care.

• Investor readiness: prepared a full data room with IP strategy, forecasts, research validation, and partnerships.

• Funding: strong interest from family offices, with a pre-seed round close to completion.

• Momentum: shifted from idea stage to investment-ready, with a prototype in development.

🌟 What’s Next for the Business

Ketim Technologies is preparing to launch its Research Use Only (RUO) blood test for postpartum depression into research and clinical trial networks. At the same time, they’re validating their biomarker panel in large cohorts and laying the foundations for international licensing and partnerships.
