πŸš€ Elevator Pitch

People are getting scammed...it’s bad.
Dodgy or Not? is here to change that.

Designed by Lively, Dodgy or Not? is an interactive learning game that helps people spot scams before they fall for them. It blends cybersecurity awareness with the swipe mechanics of Tinder, the learning streaks of Duolingo, and the fun of Wordle, turning scam detection into a daily skill.

πŸ’‘ Back Story

Stacey came up with the idea for Dodgy or Not? while designing a learning experience for a client, and quickly realised how unprepared most people are to protect themselves from scams.

With a background in learning design, Stacey saw an opportunity to tackle one of the world’s fastest-growing threats: Online scams, which cost Australians over $3 billion annually. What started as a simple game concept evolved into a global movement promoting critical thinking, online safety, and digital confidence.

🌱 Before and After TRW

Before joining Tech Ready Women, Stacey says she “wasn’t ready.”
After? “Totes ready.”

Through TRW, she gained the confidence, clarity, and community she needed to turn her idea into a viable, scalable business. The program helped her refine her pitch, strengthen her leadership skills, and connect with mentors who continue to champion her vision for a safer digital world.

πŸ† Wins

  • Launched Dodgy or Not? to the market

  • Grown a team of 5

🌟 What’s Next for the Business

Stacey’s mission is simple: to “share the love”, expanding Dodgy or Not? to reach more schools, businesses, and communities across Australia and beyond.

As scams grow more sophisticated with generative AI and deepfake technology, Dodgy or Not? aims to stay one step ahead, empowering people to think critically and stay safe online.
